Andrea DelGiudice, Artistic Director
Andrea hails from Europe and New York City where she flourished
in an international opera career. She has been seen throughout
England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany and Italy in the title roles
in Madama Butterfly, Manon Lescaut, Il Tabarro, Suor Angelica,
Cavalleria Rusticana, Otello, I Pagliacci, and the Tales of Hoffman
alongside such international artists as Placido Domingo, Johan
Botha, Sherill Milnes, and Nicolai Martinucci.
National and international venues include Edmonton Opera, Munich
State Opera, Scottish National Opera, Belfast Opera, Opera Bonn
under the direction of Gian Carlo Delmonaco, RAI Television in
Rome Italy, Austin Lyric Opera, DiCapo Opera Theater, Arizona
Opera, and Orlando Opera.
Andrea is a frequent concert soloist at Jordan Hall as well
as WGBH’s “Morning Classics” in Boston in collaboration
with international conductor and clarinetist; Jonathan Cohler
in seldom performed works such as Simon Sargon’s “Shema”.
The most recent performance was the 2005 Brockton Symphony Orchestra’s
All Strauss Concert in her “exquisite performance” of
the “Four Last Songs”. Miss DelGiudice’s new
CD “Live Performances” has recently been released.
Andrea’s diverse talents led to numerous recording contracts
in Rome, Italy including feature film recordings for Walt Disney/Buena
Vista, RAI television, and featured soloist in Robert Redford’s
Sundance Films with Italian composer Riz Ortolani.
The DelGiudice Voice Studio in Easton, MA and New York City
offers voice instruction incorporating Andrea's diverse knowledge
of the operatic and musical theater repertoire. The studio consists
of both Professional opera singers and those in the musical theater
field. Andrea is a member of the National Association of Teachers
of Singing and a member of the Voice Faculty at Dean College
and Eastern Nazarene College. Andrea serves as Artistic Advisor
and Voice Faculty at the Tuscia Opera Festival in Viterbo, Italy.
She is also an accomplished pianist.
Ms. DelGiudice serves as founder and Artistic Director of The
DelGiudice Vocal Arts Academy in Easton MA. DelGiudice Vocal
Arts offers conservatory level vocal instruction with a focus
in classical study. DelGiudice Vocal Arts annual opera production
combines professional artists with children in full -scale opera
productions with chamber orchestra as part of a full season of
performances.
DelGiudice Vocal Arts prepares students for college and conservatory
entry in either classical voice to musical theater with a vigorous
yearly program of private instruction, music theory, and performance
choir.
Ms. DelGiudice also served as founder and Artistic Director
of the Operatunity Performing Arts Center since 1997. Operatunity
Outreach was at the center of this vital program offering classical
music training to merited in need students from underserved communities.
Andrea also served as Music Director at Stonehill College, Buckley
Performing Arts Center and the Wang Center’s Suskind Young
at Arts in Boston. Miss DelGiudice is also an accomplished pianist.
Andrea Lara, Junior Voice Studio/Preparatory Choir & Theory
Rising soprano Andrea Lara is gaining acclaim for her
focused portrayal of opera heroines. With her rich steely soprano, she is
equally at home in operatic roles and concert work. She recently returned
from Washington D.C. where she performed scenes from I Pagliacci at The
State Department for the Australian State Dinner. Ms. Lara's 2010 spring
season was spent in Wchita Grand Opera and St. Petersburg Opera where she
covered the role of Micaela in Carmen for both companies. Ms. Lara is a native
of California and currently resides in the Boston area. She has a bachelor of
music and a master's degree from New England Conservatory and University
of Missouri. Andrea is a voice student of Andrea DelGiudice.
Giovanni Longo
Mr. Longo is an up and coming opera coach and collaborative
pianist currently serves as Pianist / Assistant music director / Vocal coach at
Sarasota Opera, DiCapo Opera Theater in New York City and the
Tuscia Opera Festival in Viterbo, Italy. Recent and future productions
include La Boheme, Tosca, Rigoletto, Don Giovanni, The Crucible, La Cenerentola,
and Massenet’s Cendrillon.
Giovanni will be the featured orchestra pianist for the National
Tour of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess with PAB tours in Montreal, Toronto and Boston
in Spring 2011.
Mr. Longo is fluent in French, Italian (original language) and English.
His teachers include Richard Raymond, John DiCostanzo, Michael McMahon, Patrick
Hansen and Sara Laimon.
Mr. Longo is from Montreal, Canada. He holds a Bachelors and masters
degree in piano performance from McGill University. He currently resides in Boston
where he has a private studio and serves as coaching faculty at Dean College in
Franklin MA.
Elaine Smith Purcell, Vocal coach, collaborative Pianist
Collaborative Pianist and Vocal Coach, Elaine Smith Purcell
has had a life long love of vocal repertoire and languages. Elaine
has studied vocal coaching and accompanying with Warren Jones
at the Manhattan School of Music, where she later joined the
coaching staff. Ms. Purcell is also an alumna of the prestigious
Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara California. Elaine
has worked in Italy for three summers serving as Head Coach for
the Spoleto Vocal Arts Symposium in Italy,The International Institute
of Vocal Arts in Chiari, Italy and Centro Studi Italiani in Urbania,
Italy. She has worked on opera productions at Des Moines Metro
Opera Company, Aspen Opera Theater Center, New England Conservatory
and Miami University, Ohio.
Ms. Purcell has taught American and British diction at The Juilliard
School and Manhattan School of Music. An aspiring conductor,
she has served as Chorus Master with the Bronx Opera Company,and
conductor of Operatunity’s 2006 & 2007 children’s
opera productions of Humperdink’s Hansel and Gretel and
Britten’s Noyes Fludde. The New York Times reviewed her
work as, "Excellent and committed," and The New York
Post praised her chorus for being "Lusty and well disciplined."
Elaine is currently Voice Coach and repertoire instructor at
Walnut Hill School for the Performing Arts in Natick, MA and
the DelGiudice Vocal Arts Academy and is on the Voice Faculty

Caitlin McKay Goldman, summer voice faculty
Caitlin is a professional singer and music educator. A graduate
of Boston University’s College of Fine Arts, she holds
a double Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and Music Education
and a Masters degree in Education from Lesley University’s
Creative Arts in Learning Division. Caitlin has performed opera
and theatre locally with Operatunity Performing Arts Center,
Longwood Opera, Bay Colony Productions and with the Tanglewood
Festival Chorus, to name a few. Caitlin is a vocal student of
Andrea DelGiudice of the DelGiudice Professional Voice Studio
In Easton, Ma.
Favorite operatic roles include Sandman / Dewfairy
in Hansel and Gretel, Lady 2 in The Magic Flute and Fiordiligi
in Cosi
fan tutte. Musical theatre credits
include Eliza in My Fair Lady, Sarah in Guys and Dolls, Maria in The Sound
of Music, Tuptim and Anna in The King and I and Emma in Jekyll and Hyde. Caitlin
teaches music, chorus and drama in the Westwood Public Schools and is an ‘in
demand’ private vocal instructor as well. Caitlin is a Master Vocal Teacher
and Leadership Director for Summer Stars Camp for the Performing Arts (formerly
the Britney Spears Camp), a non-profit organization devoted to providing teens
a no-cost opportunity to discover themselves and their potential through the
Arts.
Heather Kirby
An award-winning
music teacher currently teaching PreK-5 music in the Dedham Public
Schools.
In addition to teaching children, she also mentors new teachers
and pre-teachers through providing observation opportunities
and acting as a cooperating teacher. A graduate of the University
of Massachusetts-Lowell (1992, BM, cum laude) and Temple University
(2005, MM, Phi Kappa Lambda), she also holds Level 2 Certification
with the Kodály Music Institute at New England Conservatory
and is a faculty member of the Gordon Institute for Music Learning.
She is a member of ECMMA (Early Childhood Music and Movement
Association), GIML (Gordon Institute for Music Learning), NEAOSA
(New England Chapter of the American Orff Schulwerk Association),
and SGMM (Society for General Music in Massachusetts). Heather
assists her music director husband at Holy Family Parish in Rockland
where she also cantors. When she’s not teaching or singing,
she is reading, writing, or playing her new found love, the cello.
Daniel B. Kozar, Costume Design
Daniel is Costume
Designer in Residence at DelGiudice Vocal Arts Academy and
Adjunct Instructor at Dean College in Franklin, MA. Since leaving
a career
in the Fashion Industry, some seven years ago, Daniel has costumed/wardrobed
over 125 Theatrical, Film , and Television Productions.
Anthony Cutillo, Administrative Assistant
Anthony Cutillo is a sophmore at Mansfield High School
and has been part of the DVAA company since 2009. Anthony has worked
extensively in theater for 4 years, choreographing productions for various
youth theater companies across north eastern MA, and taking part in several
as well. Some of Anthony's favorite credits include the Pirate King in Pirates
of Penzance, and Billy Crocker in Anything Goes. Last summer, Anthony
traveled to Viterbo, Italy for the month of July to study music at Tuscia Opera
Festival, and this summer will be in the ensemble of the Magic Flute in Viterbo.
Anthony is currently a student of Andrea DelGiudice for voice.
Lindsay Tanguay, administrative assistant
Lindsay is a senior at Brockton High School has been an outreach
student since the age of 8 when she began her studies through
the Operatunity Outreach program in the Brockton public schools.
Lindsay joins the DelGiudice Vocal Arts Academy and Studios after
three years of interning and performing with Operatunity and
two years of assistant teaching and stage-managing. Productions
include operas Hansel and Gretel, Noyes Fludde, The Magic Flute,
Cinderella, and The Little Prince. Musicals include Seussical,
Damn Yankees, Anything Goes, Bye Bye Birdie, and Joseph and the
Technicolor Dreamcoat. Lindsay has spent the last two summers
working as Andrea’s assistant in Italy for the Tuscia Operafestival.
Lindsay is very excited about working with Andrea and the DelGiudice
Vocal Arts Academy and Studios.
